"How Trees secretly talk to each other"

Wait, trees can talk?
A journey under ground, exploring what has been nicknamed "The Wood Wide Web" - an intricate fungal network entwining the lives of plants with each other across entire forests.

Commissioned by CrowdScience at the BBC World Service, this has been shown on BBC Science News, BBC Earth, BBC Four and has had 10 million views on Facebook in the first month. Something about this topic seems to really excite people. :)

Producer: Jennifer Green
Presenter/Narrator: Marnie Chesterton
Art, design and animation: Jules Bartl.

Dear Jules

I’m Editor of CrowdScience, the show for which you created the stunning animation about the wood wide web with Jennifer Green. Just wanted to say thank you for your wonderful work – without exception everyone who has seen it has been bowled over by the design and story-telling. It’s a beautiful thing and has become one of the most successful animations the BBC has ever put out on social. I think at the last count it was 4.1 million views and rising. Wow!

Thank you again. I hope you won’t be too busy to work with us again.. J I hear lots of people are asking after you

Rami
