"30 Animals That Made Us Smarter" - LOBSTER TELESCOPE

Biomimicry is a fascinating subject - technology has been inspired by nature since the beginning of human invention, and “30 Animals That Made Us Smarter” tells the stories of innovations that found their ideas in animals.

I animated 8 of the stories (4 in each season) for the BBC’s website and online platforms.
This one tells the story of a space telescope inspired by the eye structure of lobsters.
